For over twenty years, Amy Wagenfeld, PhD, OTR/L, SCEM, FAOTA has dedicated herself to inclusive and therapeutic landscape design, driven by a fervent passion for projects that significantly enhance people’s lives. With her background as an occupational therapist, Amy appreciates the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in designing and programming innovative spaces. These spaces are carefully crafted to foster physical and sensory development, support mental health, and facilitate learning.
Amy is Principal of Amy Wagenfeld | Design and she holds a faculty position in the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Washington, where she actively contributes to the academic and professional discourse through widespread publication and presentations on the intersection of nature, health, and well-being throughout all stages of life. Amy’s role in The Learning Network is promoting ways in which nature is available and inclusive for all people.
